this is my first independent. it started out as three peices but ended as four. i started with panting all the flowers different shades of burgundy and purple. and then i did the keys different shades of browns with a txt box behind them. and then the key hole in the middle.
Love Love Love this!!!! It is quite fitting to your style and the shading and smoothness in the flowers is something I have never been able to achieve with acrylic.
ReplyDeleteI really, really like this one. I love the subtle variations of color between your flower and how the text is only in certain places. It makes for a more interesting piece.
ReplyDeleteHere it looks good, in real life after the extra work looks really really good. I like the concept of incorporating nature and the secrets and locks behind it. I think what makes this piece really stand out is the simplicity of it. Simplicity sometimes makes for the best art and I think that applies here.
ReplyDeleteI love the different colors you chose for the flowers, they are pretty colors. I like the keys act as a frame for the flowers and i like the book pages. You worked really hard on this and it came out great. And it looks even better with the extra work you did on it the past few days.
ReplyDeleteI love this piece.. The idea is very different, but it worked well. The only thing I would say is to put more shading to define the petals..
